This section applies specifically to your use of the Powernaturally Site Survey mobile application (“the App”).
1. Data We Collect via the App
To provide our professional site survey and quotation services, the App collects the following categories of information:
- User Identity & Authentication: When you log in, we collect your name, email address, and unique user identifier via Microsoft 365. This is used to attribute surveys to the correct assessor and ensure secure access.
- Customer & Site Information: We synchronize customer names, site addresses, and project references from our internal management systems (e.g., Simpro) to facilitate the survey process.
- Precise Location Data: With your permission, the App collects high-accuracy GPS coordinates (Latitude and Longitude) and What3Words identifiers. This is essential for accurately mapping installation sites, determining equipment placement, and verifying site visits.
- Camera and Media Access: The App requires access to your device’s camera and photo library to capture and upload images and videos of the property, existing infrastructure, and proposed installation areas for technical assessment.
- Technical Survey Responses: We collect detailed technical data regarding the property, including energy usage, existing heating systems, electrical infrastructure, and heat loss calculations.
2. How We Use App Data
Data collected through the App is used for:
- Generating technical site survey reports and documentation.
- Calculating system requirements for renewable energy installations.
- Creating accurate project quotes and facilitating grant applications (e.g., Boiler Upgrade Scheme).
- Synchronizing results with our central project management systems (Simpro and SharePoint).
3. Data Storage and Security
- Local Storage: Draft survey data is stored securely on your mobile device. API keys and authentication tokens are stored using the device’s secure storage mechanisms.
- Cloud Synchronization: Finalized survey data and media are transmitted securely and stored within our corporate Microsoft SharePoint environment and Simpro management system.
- Retention: We retain survey data in accordance with our general retention policy, ensuring it is kept for as long as necessary to fulfill the service or meet legal requirements.
4. Your Controls
You can manage the App’s access to your location and camera through your device’s system settings. Please note that disabling these permissions may limit the App’s functionality and its ability to complete a comprehensive site survey.
